We offer a comprehensive physiotherapy service for patients with disorders resulting from COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection). Such therapy requires a very individual and multi-specialist approach to the patient.

The health problems that remain after COVID-19 are very different and occur with varying frequency among patients.

Here are some of the most common ones that are an indication for therapy:

  • fatigue,
  • Shortness of breath (breathing problems),
  • Limited exercise tolerance,
  • Chest pain, chest stiffness,
  • Cognitive dysfunction (memory and concentration problems), so called "brain fog" - brain fog,
  • sleep problems,
  • heart palpitation,
  • headaches,
  • joint pains,
  • feelings of anxiety, depression,
  • Gastrointestinal symptoms (diarrhea, abdominal pain, lack of appetite).

Therapy begins with a consultation with a physiotherapy specialist, at which the following is carried out: an interview, examination and simple capacity tests. Based on the data collected, the physiotherapist together with the patient determine what the main problem is, the number and frequency of treatments is determined. The consultation is also aimed at catching possible contraindications to physiotherapy, so that the rehabilitation proceeds safely for the patient.

Then 60-minute appointments with physiotherapists are scheduled. During these appointments, specialists use various techniques from selected physiotherapy methods to focus on a predetermined problem, these include:

  • Manual therapy - "mobilization" of the ribs, chest, respiratory muscles, spine,
  • PNF - work on breathing patterns: upper and lower, activation of weakened respiratory tracks,
  • therapeutic massage,
  • general fitness exercises,
  • breathing exercises,
  • aerobic training,
  • and others

After a series of treatments, a final consultation with a physiotherapist is scheduled to re-evaluate the patient's functional status and make final recommendations or to continue physiotherapy.

No referral is required for consultation with a Physiotherapy Specialist.
