Preparation for the examination
General
- The material for testing is blood.
- The patient does not need to fast. It is recommended to drink a glass of water approximately 30 minutes before the examination.
- You may take antihistamines before the test.
Description
ALEX, thanks to the fact that it detects not only whole allergens but also the proteins that make them up, significantly increases the accuracy of the test compared to traditional methods of detecting IgE antibodies to whole allergens.
Indications for performing the ALEX test
The ALEX test can be used to confirm the allergic cause
• Asthma
• AZS
• hives,
• rhinitis,
• conjunctivitis,
• food hypersensitivity,
• skin lesions,
• breathing disorders
• adverse reactions following a bee or wasp sting.
• The test is especially recommended for people who have experienced anaphylactic reactions in the past.
• It is also recommended for people with a family history of allergic diseases and when the level of Total IgE in the blood serum is above the norm.
