Description of the study
Video otoscopy is an examination performed by a specialist (otolaryngologist) using an otoscope connected to a camera. The video otoscope is inserted into the ear canal, and the image is projected onto a monitor. The image can be paused, played back repeatedly, or saved to disk. This is the most accurate visual method for assessing the eardrum and outer ear structures.
