Insured patients have the opportunity to take advantage of free dental services guaranteed by the National Health Service. However, it is important to note that not all dental services are free, and if a non-reimbursed procedure is performed or the patient chooses to have better quality material placed, he or she will have to pay for such a service.
Dental services provided under the National Health Fund:

In adults, the NHF reimburses:
- Dental examination with oral hygiene instruction - once a year,
- Dental check-up - once per quarter,
- Spot x-ray twice a year - in conjunction with the treatment service,
- Pantomogram ordered for endodontic treatment and before the start of dental prosthodontics services, 1 time every 5 years in conjunction with the treatment service. The legitimacy of a pantomogram is decided by the doctor! A referral is issued by a dentist with specialization or a dentist in specialization training.
- caries treatment - fillings with chemically cured materials
- Chemically cured fillings in anterior teeth (i.e., from 3 to 3) - upper and lower,
- chemically cured fillings in all remaining teeth,
- Root canal treatment of anterior teeth (i.e., from 3 to 3) both upper and lower,
- Removal of tartar (scaling) - once a year,
- minor surgical procedures,
- treatment of oral mucosa lesions,
- treatment of periodontal disease,
In children and adolescents under 18 years of age, reimbursement is available:
- Dental examination with oral hygiene instruction - once a year,
- Dental check-up - 1 time per quarter,
- Varnishing of permanent teeth - 1 time every three months,
- sealing of sixth teeth until the age of 8
- sealing of seventh teeth until the age of 14
- Removal of tartar (scaling) - 1 time a year,
- treatment of caries in primary and permanent teeth,
- root canal treatment of all teeth,
- Light-cured fillings in anterior teeth (from 3 to 3) - upper and lower,
- chemically cured fillings in the remaining teeth,
- Spot x-ray twice a year - in conjunction with the treatment service,
- Pantomogram from age 5 to age 18 in medically justified cases with suspected developmental abnormalities of the teeth, lesions of the jawbone or periodontitis, once every 3 years in conjunction with a treatment service,
- treatment of oral mucosa diseases,
- treatment of periodontal disease,
- removal of baby and permanent teeth,
- abscess incision,
- treatment of mucous membrane wounds,
Pregnant and postpartum women
In addition to standard services provided to adults, patients can benefit from additional procedures:
- removal of tartar from all teeth no more often than once every 6 months,
- root canal treatment of all teeth,
Prosthetics
- Of the prosthetic work reimbursed by the National Health Fund are only acrylic dentures settling at a minimum of 5 missing teeth - 1 every 5 years (2 arches are eligible).
- An overdenture based on the secured roots of previously properly endodontically treated teeth, which do not need to be removed and can serve as support for the denture.
- Denture repair, denture padding - once every 2 years,
All types of crowns, bridges, skeleton dentures and other work are fully paid.
When choosing services reimbursed by the National Health Service, there is no possibility of partial payment for a different type of filling. If a patient chooses to have a filling made of a material other than the guaranteed one, he or she will have to pay for it according to the price list of commercial services.
