A family doctor cannot refer for an examination.
Age range: The test is performed in patients over 16 years of age at the CM Luxmed facility in Lublin, 7 Orkana Street.

MRI is a modern, non-invasive imaging method that relies on the use of magnetic fields and radiofrequency waves.
MRI is particularly useful in diagnosing diseases of the brain and spine, as well as all structures that make up the joints. It is also an excellent complementary method (after x-rays, ultrasound, CT scans) in some diseases of the organs of the chest, abdomen, pelvis. The advantage of MRI over other diagnostic methods is its excellent ability to image soft tissues and lesions within them (including blood vessels), as well as the ability to obtain images of layers of individual body parts in any plane.
MR diagnostics - includes studies such as:
During the examination, the patient, in a supine position, is placed within the tunnel of the device, where there is lighting and air conditioning supply. The patient must lie still during the examination, otherwise the images obtained will be blurry and impossible for the radiologist to evaluate. During some examinations (e.g., abdominal examination), the patient must hold his breath for several seconds, as recommended by the examining technician. During the examination, within the tunnel, there are various intensities, "knocks", which are related to the examination being performed. In order to reduce the intensity of the noise, the patient is given ear stoppers for the duration of the examination.
The test takes an average of 15 minutes to an hour.
