Description of the study

Tinnitus is a condition that can have a significant negative impact on people. It is a subjective experience and difficult to treat. Our center offers a tinnitus treatment method based on the fundamentals of neurophysiology and brain plasticity, developed by Professor Jastreboff. This method, called Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT), involves reversing the changes in the central nervous system associated with tinnitus and the negative associations associated with it. The goal of the therapy is to habituate the tinnitus sounds and the brain's response to the presence of tinnitus.
The initial stage of the proposed procedure is an audiological assessment of the hearing system. Subsequent stages include individual consultations, fitting of appropriate devices, and further consultations during follow-up visits.
This type of therapy is long-term and requires active participation from the patient, but it provides significant relief for tinnitus sufferers. This method has no side effects.

Treatments can be performed as a single service or in a package.

The "tinnitus" testing package includes:

  • pure tone audiometry,
  • high-frequency audiometry,
  • otoacoustic emissions (OAE),
  • noise characteristics,
  • UCL unpleasant hearing test.
