FORTRANS

There are two different preparation schemes depending on the time of the test: one-day and two-day.

One-day preparation - if the test will be performed in the morning, until 10:59 (the start of the test)

Fortrans preparation 4 sachets

On the day before the test, eat only a "light" breakfast. Around 8 pm, prepare 4 liters of Fortransu solution. To do this, dissolve each of the 4 Fortransu bags in 1 liter of still water. For taste, you can add lemon juice or dissolve the preparation in water with apple juice (half and half). The prepared solution should be drunk within 4-6 hours (1 glass every 15-20 minutes). Before drinking each sachet of Fortrans, swallow 1 sachet of Espumisan Easy. After that, you can still drink any amount of non-carbonated, clean water. On the day of the test, do not eat anything, you can drink non-carbonated water according to your thirst. You should stop drinking water no later than 2 hours before the test.
In case you fail to drink all the fluids on the day before the examination, the remaining fluid should be taken as early as possible on the day of the examination.

  • The day before the test, eat only a lightly digested breakfast. Around 8:00 pm, proceed to prepare 4 liters of Fortrans solution. To do this, mix each sachet of the product with 1 liter of still water. To improve the taste, you can add lemon juice or combine with apple juice in a ratio of 1:1. Then, within 4-6 hours, drink the entire solution, trying to consume 1 glass every 15-20 minutes. Before each serving of Fortrans, take 1 sachet of Espumisan Easy. If you failed to drink all the fluids the day before the test, finish drinking as early as possible on the day of the test.
  • On the day of the test, do not eat anything. You can consume any amount of plain, non-carbonated water according to your needs. However, stop taking fluids at least 2 hours before the test.

Two-day preparation - if the test will be performed after 11:00 a.m.

Description of the study

Colonoscopy is a procedure to diagnose the large intestine using a flexible endoscope with a camera, called a video colonoscope, inserted slowly through the rectum into the intestine. The endoscope is gradually advanced through the entire large intestine, and in some situations even into the initial part of the small intestine. This process allows the mucosa of the lower gastrointestinal tract to be accurately assessed. During a colonoscopy, a tissue sample may need to be taken for histopathological examination or a polyp may need to be removed ( an extra fee service). The collection procedure does not cause discomfort to the patient. In general, patients tolerate colonoscopy well, and pain is rarely experienced as a side effect.

Indications

  • Determine the cause of lower gastrointestinal bleeding,
  • Removal of polyps (polypectomy),
  • Chronic diarrhea or constipation,
  • Cancer diagnostics,
  • intestinal inflammation,
  • Pain in the anal area, lower abdomen,
  • Preventive testing for colorectal cancer.

Contraindications

  • possible intestinal obstruction (in this situation, the patient should report to the emergency room),
  • Antibiotic treatment-These drugs can affect the result of the test. The test can be performed at least 5 days after the end of antibiotic treatment.
