The ENT doctor's job is basic diagnosis and treatment of diseases such as tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, sinusitis, etc. The ENT doctor treats hypertrophied tonsils, sleep apnea and tumors in the head and neck.
The ENT clinic also provides access to specialized tests, such as:
- x-rays,
- ultrasound studies,
- fiberoscopy, or videoendoscopy of the nose, throat, larynx,
- swabs,
- audiological studies,
- home apnea test,
- laboratory tests.
If necessary, the ENT specialist may also order other tests: CT scan, MRI, biopsy of suspicious lesions.
