Preparation for the study

General

  • It is permissible to eat a light meal that does not contain fat. It is not necessary to interrupt other treatment including allergy therapy (i.e. antihistamines, topical or oral steroids).
  • The test material is blood.
  • The patient does not need to be fasting.

Important

Receipt of the result is possible at the facility where the test was ordered.
In addition, the patient will receive a code to access the subcontractor's website and read about possible cross-reactions.

Description

ALEX CDRS ( formerly FABER) - is a new multiplex third-generation molecular test for measuring specific E (IgE) antibodies against 295 allergen components. Currently, it is the most advanced diagnostic system, using the capabilities of nanotechnology to evaluate the concentration of specific immunoglobulin E against allergen molecules and extracts, involving information technology and communication platform through the use of an innovative CDRS module to analyze patient results.
Multiparameter tests allow the evaluation of multiple allergens in a single test sample.
The test is designed for early and highly accurate diagnosis of allergies. It has applications in allergic diseases,
such as asthma, rhinitis, urticaria, eczema, anaphylaxis, conjunctivitis or food allergy.
It is helpful in differentiating true sensitization from symptoms caused by cross-reactivity in patients with allergy
multivariate allergy and in deciding on the eligibility of patients for SIT. In selected cases, it allows to predict, the risk of severe systemic reactions.
ALEX CDRS test is the latest generation of tests for evaluating the concentration of specific immunoglobulin E against allergens. It is the most comprehensive, accurate, sensitive and precise test for diagnosing IgE-dependent allergy.
