Preparation
General preparation:
- The measurement is taken with bare feet, do not apply cream to them that day.
- During the examination, you should place your mobile phone or other electronic devices, such as a watch, and metal objects, such as keys, away from your body.
- The test can be performed at any time of day and requires no special preparation. However, it's best to perform a follow-up measurement under similar conditions – the same device, same time of day.
- On the day of the test, it's best to avoid coffee, strong tea, energy drinks, and alcohol. Immediately before the test (up to 2 hours), avoid eating or drinking, and avoid any intense physical activity.
- Contraindications to the examination include metal implants in the body, stents, epilepsy, and pregnancy.
For people who require very high measurement precision, e.g. those practicing sports:
- The measurement should be taken after a night's rest in the morning – on an empty stomach or at least 3 hours after the last meal.
- Do not drink for at least 2 hours before measurement.
- During the 24 hours preceding the examination, you should not drink fluids containing caffeine – coffee, strong tea, energy drinks or alcohol.
- It is not recommended to perform the test immediately after intense physical exercise, immediately after bathing, swimming, or visiting a sauna – the test can be performed approximately 1 hour after exercise.
