Preparation
- On the day of the test, two enemas should be taken - one about 4 hours before the test and another about 2 hours before the test.
- There is no need to be fasted for the test, and no diet is required.
Description of the study
Anoscopy is an examination that involves a visual inspection of the anal canal. During the examination, the doctor inserts a special, disposable speculum into the patient's rectum to evaluate the inner part of the anal canal for abnormalities (e.g. hemorrhoids, anal fissures, perianal fistulas, anal polyps).
Indications
