Description
Anti-Sm antibodies are autoantibodies against the Smith antigen, part of the U1- snRNP complex, abbreviated as RNP/Sm.
Anti-Sm antibodies are highly specific for SLE, and their differentiation with the RNP molecule allows differential diagnosis of SLE and MCTD.
