Preparation for the study
General
- The test is taken at a dedicated Intake Point.
- The patient does not need to be fasting.About 30 minutes before the test it is advisable to drink a glass of water.

"Cytogenetic study performed by GTG technique
Karyotype analysis consists of GTG staining of the obtained metaphase chromosomes from in vitro culture, followed by their microscopic analysis to detect possible numerical and structural aberrations according to ISCN 2020 (International System for Human Cytogenetic Nomenclature). Most hematologic malignancies are characterized by karyotype alterations of recognized prognostic and prognostic significance."
