Histopathological examination – 1 specimen

Material collected outside the Luxmed Medical Center (brought in from outside) must be collected in a sealed container designated for histopathological examination. The container must be labeled with the patient's name and surname and include a note about the area from which the specimen was collected. The container must be protected from damage. A referral from a physician must be attached. This referral must meet the referral requirements (not a prescription form or other random form) and contain the necessary information, including the type and concentration of fixative used (buffered formalin) and the time of fixation.
The referral must be stamped and signed by the referring physician.
The material should be transported in an upright position; the block can be stored and transported
at room temperature.
Materials must be accepted during the collection point's opening hours.

The test is performed at the request of the referring physician (a referral is required).
In some cases, additional tests
(immunohistochemical tests) may be necessary to obtain a diagnosis, subject to an additional fee, which depends on the number of tests required. In this case, the patient receives a text message with information about the fee and the procedure for receiving the results.
Payment can be made at the registration desk of the facility where the sample was collected, or online in the results collection tab.
For online payments, the patient's personal and address information (bank verification) and email address will be provided during the payment process, to which payment status information and an invoice will be sent.
