- The test is taken at a dedicated Intake Point.
- The patient does not need to be fasting.About 30 minutes before the test, it is advisable to drink a glass of water or bitter(unsweetened) tea.

"Studying mutations in exons 4-10 of the TP53 gene
The tumor suppressor gene TP53 (formerly p53) known as the "guardian of the genome" is involved in the control of proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. TP53 mutations are considered a strong
predictor associated with worse survival and relapse in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients. The prognosis of patients with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) or acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with TP53 mutations is unfavorable. Response to treatment is usually short-lived, and the risk of relapse after allogeneic stem cell transplantation (allo-SCT) in this group of patients is elevated."
