Preparation for the examination
General
- The material for testing is blood.
- The patient does not need to fast. It is recommended to drink a glass of water approximately 30 minutes before the examination.
Description
Przeciwciała anty-HBc są wykrywane wkrótce po pojawieniu się antygenu powierzchniowego HBsAg. Ponieważ przeciwciała anty-HBs mogą się pojawić z pewnym opóźnieniem po zniknięciu antygenu HBs, są czasami jedynym markerem serologicznym infekcji HBV i zakaźności krwi pacjenta. Przeciwciała anty-HBc moga być obecne w ostrym i przewlekłym wirusowym zapaleniu watroby typu B, a także mogą wskazywać na przebytą infekcję.
