Preparation for the study

General

The test material is blood.
The patient does not need to be fasting.About 30 minutes before the test, it is advisable to drink a glass of water or bitter(unsweetened) tea.

Important

We do not perform this test in men.

Description

HCG testing is used to confirm pregnancy (after about 9-10 days after conception), monitor pregnancy, determine ectopic pregnancy, multiple pregnancy.
The test is performed in women during their childbearing years. We do not perform this test in men.
