Preparation for the study

General

The test should not be performed during treatment with antibiotics,
H2-receptor antagonist drugs, bismuth and proton pump inhibitors.
Taking these drugs before the test can cause false-negative results.
The sample can be taken after a minimum of 14 days after taking the last dose of the drug.
For the test, collect a fecal sample the size of a hazelnut into a disposable container (without transport medium or preservatives).
Until the stool is delivered to the collection center, the capped container with the collected material should be stored in a cool place, but not more than 2 days.
The container with the collected material should be signed.

Important

Antiparasitic drugs do not affect the test result.

Description

H.pylori causes type B gastritis and gastric and duodenal ulcers. During the course of infection caused by H.pylori bacilli localized in the gastric epithelium, there can be a significant concentration of antigens of this bacterium in the feces. The presence of H.pylori antigens in the feces is an indicator of current infection with these bacteria, while their disappearance indicates successful eradication of the microorganisms.

Antiparasitic drugs do not affect the test result.
