- The patient does not need to fast. It is recommended to drink a glass of water approximately 30 minutes before the examination.
Description
Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C) is formed when glucose binds to hemoglobin. This percentage correlates with the severity and duration of hyperglycemia. The HbA1C level indicates glycemia for the 120 days preceding the test.
