Preparation for the examination

General

The material for testing is blood.
The patient does not need to fast. It is recommended to drink a glass of water approximately 30 minutes before the examination.

H. simplex wirus powoduje zakażenia skórne i błon śluzowych umiejscowione na wargach, w jamie ustnej oraz w drogach rodnych. U noworodków zakażenia wirusem (podczas porodu) moga być niebezpieczne dla życia. Poziom specyficznych przeciwciał IgM wzrasta w początkowym okresie infekcji i świadczy o toczącym się zakażeniu.
Badanie wykonywane jest metodą Elisa.
