The patient does not need to be fasting.About 30 minutes before the test it is advisable to drink a glass of water.

Description

H. simplex virus causes infections of the skin and mucous membranes located on the lips, in the mouth and in the genital tract. In newborns, virus infections (during delivery) can be life-threatening. The level of specific IgM antibodies increases in the early stages of infection and indicates ongoing infection.
The test is performed using the Elisa method.
