Preparation for the examination
General
- The material for testing is blood.
- The patient does not need to fast. It is recommended to drink a glass of water approximately 30 minutes before the examination.
Important
Samples brought from outside (applies to individual patients) are not accepted for testing.
Description
The test is performed using the Real Time PCR method. The test confirms infection with human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV 1).
According to the RMZ regulation of June 26, 2020, a positive test result must be reported to the PSSE.
