Preparation
- You must come to the examination with an ID document (in the case of persons under 18 years of age, a parent/guardian must come with the document), as the condition for installing a Holter monitor is to sign a rental agreement with an adult.
- For patients under 18 years of age, the test is performed based on a referral from a doctor.
- On the day of the examination, you should take all your regular medications.
- The device must not be wet or removed from the case.
- Loose, two-piece clothing is recommended (short-sleeved shirt and trousers/skirt); the camera can be attached to a belt or worn on a strap around the neck.
- Patients taking anticoagulants may experience skin bruising in the arm area, but there is no need to discontinue the medication and it does not constitute a contraindication.
- During the examination, at the moment the blood pressure measurement begins (the cuff tightens on the patient's arm as it inflates), the arm should be straightened at the elbow and paused for a moment to ensure accurate measurement. After the measurement is completed (the cuff is deflated), normal movements of the affected limb may be performed. This procedure prevents measurement errors/motion artifacts that make it difficult or impossible to reliably assess the test results.
Description of the study
