Preparation for the examination

General

The material for testing is blood.
Approximately 30 minutes before the examination, it is recommended to drink 1 glass of water only.
The patient must fast for at least 12 hours after consuming the last meal, unless the doctor recommends otherwise (e.g. performing the test after a meal)
Before the test you may only drink water.
You should not drink coffee, flavored water, drinks such as cola light/cola “zero”, energy drinks, or juices.
You should not eat meals, snacks, fruits, vegetables, breath fresheners, chew gum, or smoke cigarettes.

For children up to 3 years of age, it is recommended to collect blood half to one hour after feeding.

Important

Laboratorium wykonuje również badanie krzywej insulinowej, jest to odrębne badanie.
Zakup wyłącznie stacjonarnie. Na badanie krzywej insulinowej konieczne jest posiadanie skierowania od lekarza ze wskazaniem dawki obciążenia, ilości pobrań po obciążeniu i odstępów czasu pomiędzy kolejnymi pobraniami.

Na pojedyncze oznaczenie insuliny (bez obciążenia) skierowanie nie jest wymagane.
