Preparation for the study
General
- For the test, collect a fecal sample the size of a hazelnut into a disposable container (without transport medium or preservatives).
- Until the stool is delivered to the collection center, the capped container with the collected material should be stored in a cool place, but not more than 2 days.
- The container with the collected material should be signed.
Important
Due to the peculiarities of the parasite development cycle, in order to increase the probability of detecting infection, it is recommended to perform 3 tests from three independent samples, taken 2- 4 days apart each.
Description
Parasep is a fecal concentration kit that provides high efficiency in detecting eggs, cysts and larvae of parasites in fecal samples.
Due to the peculiarities of the development cycle of parasites, in order to increase the probability of detection of infection, it is recommended to perform 3 tests from three independent samples, taken at an interval of 2- 4 days each.
NOTE:
In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Health dated 26.06.2020, in the case of detection of Giardia lamblia in feces, the test result is subject to mandatory reporting to the District Sanitary and Epidemiological Station.
