Preparation for the study

General

For the test, collect a fecal sample the size of a hazelnut into a disposable container (without transport medium or preservatives).
Until the stool is delivered to the collection center, the capped container with the collected material should be stored in a cool place, but not more than 2 days.
The container with the collected material should be signed.

Description

Badanie kału na pasożyty pozwala stwierdzić obecność pasożytów występujących w przewodzie pokarmowym takich pasożytów jak : owsiki, glista, tasiemce, włosogłowka,motylica wątrobowa ( przywra), dorosłe postaci węgorka jelitowego, oraz innych rzadziej spotykanych gatunków( np. tropikalnych).

It is recommended to test the stool 3 times (if no parasites were detected in the previous results). The second sample should be taken 2-3 days after the first test.
If the result is still negative, the third stool sample should be taken 7-10 days after the first test.
NOTE:
In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of 26.06.2020 (Journal of Laws 2020 pos.1118), if Giardia lamblia is detected, the test result is subject to mandatory reporting by the laboratory performing the test to the District Sanitary and Epidemiological Station.
