Preparation for the examination
General
- For testing, a stool sample (liquid consistency) should be collected in a disposable container (approximately 5 ml).
The collected material should be stored in a cool place until delivered to the laboratory,
but no longer than 2 days. Be sure to label the sample container.
Description
The test is used to detect viruses that cause persistent diarrhea.
NOTE:
Pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of June 26, 2020 (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 1118), if rotaviruses are detected in stool, the test result must be reported by the laboratory performing the test to the District Sanitary and Epidemiological Station.
