Preparation for the examination
General
- For testing, a stool sample (liquid consistency) should be collected in a disposable container (approximately 5 ml).
The collected material should be stored in a cool place until delivered to the laboratory,
but no longer than 2 days. Be sure to label the sample container.

W sytuacji, gdy proces diagnostyczny wymaga założenia hodowli czas oczekiwania na wynik badania ulega wydłużeniu do 4 dni roboczych.

Badanie wykonywane jest przy użyciu testu immunologicznego, ma na celu wykrycie toksyn A i B Clostridium difficille w próbkach kału pobranych od osób podejrzanych o wystąpienie biegunki poantybiotykowej.
