Pertussis ( Bordetella pertusis) IgG- quantitative

• The test material is blood.
• The patient does not need to be fasting.About 30 minutes before the test it is advisable to drink a glass of water.

Pertussis (former and common name pertussis) - is an acute infectious disease of the respiratory system, characterized by recurrent attacks of cough and prolonged dyspnea.
The disease is caused by the pertussis bacillus (Bordetella pertussis). Survival of whooping cough leaves a lasting immunity.
Antibodies in the IgG class testify to the survival of the infection and the acquisition of immunity to this infectious agent.
The test of antibodies to Bordetella pertussis IgG- is NOT used to assess immune status after vaccination, but is used to diagnose fresh infection with whooping cough.
NOTE:
According to the Decree of the Minister of Health dated 26.06.2020, a positive test result is subject to mandatory reporting to the District Sanitary and Epidemiological Station.
