- The patient does not need to fast. It is recommended to drink a glass of water approximately 30 minutes before the examination.
Description
A rapid qualitative test confirms the suspicion of infectious mononucleosis based
on clinical examination and other laboratory tests.
Infection with infectious mononucleosis may be accompanied by fever, sore throat, enlarged spleen
and lymph nodes, lymphocytosis, and sometimes a morbilliform rash. Elevated transaminase values are also observed.
