- The material for testing is blood.
- The patient does not need to fast. It is recommended to drink a glass of water approximately 30 minutes before the examination.
Description
The Waaler Rose test is a rheumatoid factor (RF) that reacts with various gammaglobulins. Various agglutination-based methods are used to identify it. The Waaler Rose test utilizes rabbit IgG directed against sheep erythrocytes. The test is indicated for rheumatic diseases. A positive Waaler Rose test result indicates the presence of rheumatoid factor.
