"Determination of the V617F mutation in the JAK2 gene
The test is used to detect the JAK2-V617F mutation, which occurs in all BCR/ABL1-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms. This mutation is found in about 90% of patients with true melanoma, in about 50% of patients with spontaneous hyperplasia and in about 30% of patients with primary marrow fibrosis."
