"Determination of the V617F mutation in the JAK2 gene.
This test detects the JAK2-V617F mutation, which occurs in all BCR/ABL1-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms. This mutation is found in approximately 90% of patients with polycythemia vera, approximately 50% of patients with essential thrombocythemia, and approximately 30% of patients with primary myelofibrosis."
