Antibodies to B2-glycoprotein-1 are detected in antiphospholipid syndrome.
Antiphospholipid syndrome- APS (antiphospholipid syndrome), also called Hughs syndrome, is characterized by symptoms of vascular thrombosis, recurrent miscarriages along with the presence of serum antibodies with specificity to anionic phospholipids and phospholipid-binding proteins. Clinical criteria for antiphospholipid syndrome include:
1. vascular thrombosis,
2. spontaneous miscarriages.
