Booking:

  • Swab cultures from intimate areas (vulva, foreskin, glans, etc.) are taken in the gynecologist's office by a midwife/doctor. An appointment must be booked in advance for the examination.

    Other swabs are taken without prior reservation during the collection center's business hours.

  • Scraping cultures (dry smooth and hairy skin, nails, hair, dry auricle) are taken without prior reservation during the collection center's operating hours.
    For scrapings from dry skin of the intimate area, reservations must be made with the midwife.
  • Swab cultures (mucous membranes: oral cavity, nose, throat, ear, abscess, conjunctiva, wound, feces, urine) are taken without prior reservation:
    - Lublin Branches: only from Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 14:30
    - Other Branches: exclusively from Monday to Friday until 12:00 pm.
  • Swab cultures (urethra, vagina, foreskin, glans, anus) are taken in the gynecology office by the midwife/doctor::
    - Lublin branches: only from Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 14:30
    - other Branches: exclusively from Monday to Friday until 12:00 pm.
    Prior appointment booking is required for the examination
  • The study will not be performed from 02.05.2024 to 04.05.2024

Preparation for the study

General

  • The material should be taken before starting treatment. The skin lesion should not be lubricated (ointment, cream), cleansed with cosmetics (powders).
  • The nail plate should be clean, one day before the test, soaked in soapy water, uncut for about 1 week, without polish (polish should be washed off 1 day before the test and before soaking in soapy water).
  • Before collecting material from oral mucous membranes at least one hour before the test
    do not: eat,drink sugary drinks/juices, chew gum, brush teeth or use mouthwash as well as lozenges and smoke.
  • For scalp scrapings, do not wash your head 2 days before the test
  • For cultures from swabs of intimate areas, advance appointment booking is required.

Description

Mycogram is the drug sensitivity of yeast-like fungi.

The test is performed to Identify yeast-like fungi and determine their sensitivity to specific mycotoxins (antifungal drugs):

5-fluorocytosine,amphotericin-B, fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, miconazole.
