- Samples for testing are collected exclusively at the branch at 5 Radziwiłłowska Street, Monday through Wednesday, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.:
– Samples from the throat and conjunctiva of the eye are collected at the collection point without prior appointment.
– Samples from the cervical canal, urethra, and anus are collected in the gynecological office by a midwife after prior appointment. To schedule an appointment, please call 81-532-37-11.
Preparation for the examination
General
- The specimen should be collected before treatment begins.
The throat and conjunctiva samples are collected at the collection point/treatment room.
For three hours before the throat sample is collected, patients should not eat, brush their teeth, or smoke. Patients should also refrain from using lozenges, mouthwashes, or chewing gum. - The material from the urethra is collected before the first morning urine or at least 4 hours should have passed since the last urination (the patient comes for the examination with a full bladder).
- Samples from the cervical canal, urethra, and anus are collected by a midwife in a gynecological office.
It is necessary to refrain from sexual intercourse for three days before the examination. - On the day of the examination, the genital area should be washed without using soap or gel.
Specific for women
- Hygienic procedures using disinfectants and intravaginal medicinal preparations should not be performed.
Important
Samples brought from outside are not accepted for testing.
