Preparation for the examination
General
- The material should be collected before the first dose of antibiotic is administered.
- Culture is performed for aerobic bacteria.
Specific for women
- Posiew mleka z piersi zaliczamy do posiewu płynów ustrojowych.
Bezposrednio przed pobraniem pierś powinna być umyta.
Mleko należy pobrać z piersi do jałowego pojemniczka(bez podłoża transportowego)i dostarczyć do punktu pobrań niezwłocznie po pobraniu(maksymalnie do 4 godzin od pobrania). Minimalna ilość materiału wynosi 1ml mleka.
Important
As part of the culture, an antibiogram is also performed. If the bacteria are part of the normal bacterial flora and do not warrant an antibiogram, then one is not performed.
