Description of the study
The myasthenic test is a study of neuromuscular transmission, and is also called the fatigue test or the fatigability test. It is designed to evaluate neuromuscular conduction, using stimulation with a series of supramaximal stimuli. It is used in the diagnosis of myasthenia gravis, or muscle fatigue. The test is non-invasive, as it uses surface electrodes that are placed on the skin.
