- The test material is blood.
- The patient does not need to be fasting.About 30 minutes before the test it is advisable to drink a glass of water.
Description
The test is performed to diagnose antiphospholipid syndrome, autoimmune diseases and in recurrent miscarriages.
Antiphospholipid syndrome - APS (antiphospholipid syndrome), also called Hughs syndrome, is characterized by symptoms of vascular thrombosis, recurrent miscarriages along with the presence of serum antibodies with specificity to anionic phospholipids and phospholipid-binding proteins .
Clinical criteria for antiphospholipid syndrome include:
1. vascular thrombosis,
2. spontaneous miscarriages.
