- The patient does not need to fast. It is recommended to drink a glass of water approximately 30 minutes before the examination.

Description
Adrenal antibody testing indicates primary adrenal insufficiency. Over time, Addison's disease develops, which is caused by a chronic deficiency of adrenal cortex hormones (including cortisol and aldosterone). Typical clinical symptoms include brown pigmentation of the skin and mucous membranes, adynamia, hypotonia, and weight loss.
