Description
Antibodies to Saccharomyces cerevisiae are found almost exclusively in Crohn's disease with a prevalence of 67%. In the test, antibodies are determined by using polyvalent serum in the IgAG class. These antibodies allow diagnostic differentiation between Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, but their concentration does not correlate with disease progression.
