HER2 receptor

Material collected outside the Luxmed Medical Center (brought in from outside) must be collected in a sealed container designated for histopathological examination. The container must be labeled with the patient's name and surname and include a note stating the location of the specimen. The container must be protected from damage, and a physician's referral must be included.
The material must be transported in an upright position and can be transported at room temperature.
Materials are accepted during the collection point's opening hours.

HER2 is a receptor protein involved in transmitting signals to cells that control their growth and function. The presence of the HER2 protein is associated with more aggressive tumor growth.
The test is ordered by the physician who collected the biopsy.
