Preparation
- On the day before the examination, a light diet is recommended.
- On the day of the examination, you should perform one enema at approximately 10:00 AM.
- There is no need to fast for the test.
- During the examination, the doctor may decide to take samples for histopathological evaluation and possible further immunohistochemical diagnosis (histopathological and immunohistochemical analysis is subject to an additional fee).
Description of the study
A rectoscopy is an endoscopic examination of the final section of the large intestine, the rectum, to a depth of approximately 10-15 cm using a rigid rectoscope equipped with an optical and light system. The examination involves visualizing the anal canal and rectum. It is performed when symptoms occur in the aforementioned area.

Indications
- pain in the anus and lower abdomen,
- rectal bleeding,
- itching of the anus for unexplained reasons,
- tumors in the anus.
