Description of the study
Diagnostic Color Vision Testing – The test is performed using Ishihara color vision charts, which are used to detect color vision deficiencies, such as color blindness. The test consists of: 38 color charts for adults and 18 color charts for children. Each chart displays a mosaic of colored dots in various shades, forming specific numbers or patterns. The task is to read the symbol or pattern visible on the chart. In the case of color vision deficiencies, some elements may be invisible or difficult to distinguish. This allows specialists to assess the type and degree of dyschromatopsia. The test is safe, non-invasive, and quick. The result provides the basis for assessing the patient's color vision. The test is described as: Ishihara Test: ("+"/ "-") OP ("+" / "-") OL ("+" / "-") or, for example, reading OPL correctly.
