Description
It is used to diagnose and monitor therapy of thyroid gland tumors.
TG levels increase in thyroid tumors, inflammation of the thyroid gland, Graves-Basedow disease, and indolent goiter.
A decrease in TG levels occurs in its hypothyroidism caused by TSH deficiency or damage to the gland.
