Preparation
- The test is typically performed between 20-30 weeks of pregnancy (optimally 22-24 weeks).
- The physician decides whether to use the 3/4D option during the examination – this depends on many factors (the amount of amniotic fluid, the baby's behavior during the examination, and gestational age). If the 3/4D option is not available, a fee for a 2D pregnancy examination (standard pregnancy ultrasound) will be charged.
Description of the study
The examination provides a precise insight into fetal development, assesses blood flow in the vessels of the placenta, uterus, and the baby's body, and also allows for a "preview" of the baby's appearance, almost identical to its current appearance. During the examination, you can observe, among other things, the baby's facial expressions and thumb sucking.
The aim of the examination is to precisely assess the brain, spine, heart, kidneys, face, and other organs. The examination determines whether the baby is developing normally, and if any abnormalities are found, it allows for accurate diagnostics while still in the mother's womb.
The examination is recorded on a flash drive, and color photos accompany the description. The recording can also be viewed on our website using a personalized code, which the patient receives during the examination.
