Description of the study

This examination assesses the condition and development of the fetus, placenta, and reproductive organs, which change during pregnancy. The aim of the examination is to precisely assess the brain, spine, heart, kidneys, face, and other organs of the baby. It allows for determining whether the baby is developing properly, and if any abnormalities are detected, the examination allows for precise diagnostics in the womb. During the ultrasound, the doctor measures the baby's head, body, length, and weight. These measurements are necessary to monitor the baby's growth and determine whether its growth is appropriate for the gestational age. The amniotic fluid level, the position and appearance, and the maturity of the placenta, umbilical cord, and cervical length are also assessed. This data is necessary for the obstetrician to properly manage the pregnancy.
