Preparation
- You should have a full bladder - drink 1-1.5 liters of non-carbonated fluid 1 hour before the examination and do not urinate.
- It is recommended to present your previous test results to your doctor.
Description of the study
A prostate ultrasound is performed using an ultrasound probe placed directly on the abdominal wall. The examination includes an assessment of the urinary bladder and a general assessment of the prostate gland.
Indications
- disturbing symptoms that may indicate abnormalities in the functioning of the prostate,
- disorders in the functioning of the urinary tract,
- pain in the abdominal cavity.
