Preparation for the study
General
- The test should not be performed in exacerbation of heart failure, hypervolemia,urinary tract infections,
after significant physical exertion. - Morning urine for ACR indicator test - how to conduct the test.
1 For the test, the middle stream of morning urine should be collected (after the first stream is passed to the toilet),
That is, at least after an 8-hour night's rest, without emptying the bladder for at least 4 hours.(2) Urine should be collected into a disposable container(not less than 10 ml).
The container with the sample should be signed. - The patient does not need to be fasting.
Description
The ACR index is used to assess albuminuria. The primary recommended use of the albuminuria test is in the diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy, including detection of its early stage. The test is also useful in diagnosing the early stage of chronic kidney disease,and in cardiovascular disease.
