What does a visit to a phoniatist look like?

A visit to a phoniatric clinic begins with the phoniatrist taking a detailed history of the patient's problems, the severity of their difficulties, vocal hygiene, any medical conditions they complain of, and medications they are taking. This discussion will serve as the basis for ordering the necessary tests and making a correct diagnosis. The phoniatrist will perform basic physical examinations of the nasopharynx and larynx, may make recommendations for further treatment, and answer the patient's questions.

When visiting a phoniatric clinic, it is worth bringing the results of any tests and specialist consultations as well as information cards from your hospital stay.
