The ENT clinic specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the nose, sinuses, ears, throat, larynx, and oral cavity, as well as diseases of the esophagus, trachea, and bronchi. The ENT specialist's role is to provide basic diagnosis and treatment for conditions such as tonsillitis , pharyngitis, laryngitis, sinusitis, and more. An ENT physician treats enlarged tonsils, sleep apnea, and head and neck tumors.
The ENT clinic also provides access to specialized tests, such as:
- X-rays,
- ultrasound examination,
- fiberoscopy, i.e. videoendoscopy of the nose, throat, larynx,
- swabs,
- audiological tests,
- home apnea test,
- laboratory tests.
If necessary, the otolaryngologist may also order other tests: computed tomography , magnetic resonance imaging , biopsy of suspicious lesions.
