  • Abdominal pain and cramps.

Diarrhea – when to consult a doctor?

A visit to the doctor is recommended if:

  • The diarrhea is severe, lasts more than a few days, or is accompanied by other serious symptoms such as fever.
  • There are signs of dehydration such as dry mouth, decreased urination, and fatigue.
  • Diarrhea appears after traveling abroad, eating stale food, or taking new medications.

 

Diarrhea, while often mild and temporary, can also be a sign of a more serious health problem. It's important to monitor symptoms and consult a doctor if necessary, especially if diarrhea is severe or prolonged. Be especially vigilant if your child has persistent loose stools and consult a doctor immediately.
